state of the art additions to the Engineering department…

The start of the new year has also marked the launch of new, state of the art additions to the Engineering department – sponsored by testing and measuring specialists, Tektronix and supplied by SJ Electronics.

The new additions to the laboratory offer high quality precision, yet are suitable for undergraduates to learn on and are representative of the products used in electronic labs in research and industry settings.

For instance:

  • Each workstation consist of an Oscilloscope, Arbitrary Function Generator, Digital Multimeter, and Power supply.
  • The TBS1000B-EDU Oscilloscope is design specifically for Classroom Teaching and provides integrated courseware capability so that students can review lab content, perform step-by-step instructions, record lab results and create lab reports,  all on the scope.
  • The AFG2021 Abitrary Function Generator provides all the versatility required by students to generate a wide range of Test signals
  • The Keithley DMM 2110 and the 2231A Power Supply provide accuracy and stability from the world-leading brand for Precision DC Measurement.
